The free trade agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and Ukraine was signed in Skopje on 18 January 2001 and ratified by Ukraine`s Law 2599-III of 5 July 2001. This agreement concerns the removal of trade restrictions for industrial and agricultural products, the creation of fair conditions of competition in trade, the creation of conditions for further investment promotion, the development of joint investment projects, and the protection of intellectual property and cooperation between parties in third country markets. Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova have signed an agreement to create a single economic zone and conclude a free trade agreement. This is another step forward in creating a single economic zone that allows these states to act freely with each other. [Free trade] is a priority for Georgia. Our country enjoys a free trade system with many states, and this is an important issue for us,” said Irakli Chikovani, spokesman for the Pm. In March 2017, GUAM formally concluded an agreement on a free trade area and the harmonisation of customs regimes in its member states. [13] The phasing out of tariffs, existing non-tariff and regulatory barriers will boost bilateral trade, which will enhance the diversity, quality and security of available products and services, enhance competition in the market, contribute to lower prices for consumers, improve the business climate, attract investors, while ensuring a higher level of social protection environmental and consumer issues. It will also create stable and more predictable rules for business, especially for SMEs. One of the important tasks of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to provide diplomatic assistance and assistance in negotiations for bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements (free trade agreements).

The multilateral framework also offers some countries the opportunity to go further and sign agreements with the EU. To date, Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and Georgia have signed major association agreements between the EU (in accordance with Article 217 of the TFUE), its Member States and a non-EU country that sets out a cooperation plan between them.
